Hi,I'mRiley.
AnEngineerFocusedonWhatLiesAhead.
Hi, I’m Riley Adams-Peacock. I study engineering at McMaster, with a focus on building resilient systems that hold up in the real world. My background spans Python, Java, and JavaScript, with experience in QA testing, inventory tracking, and software development. But I’ve never been wired for clean labs or climate control. I’m technical, but hands-on. I’m more interested in how tech performs when conditions aren’t ideal: when it’s cold, remote, or unpredictable.
I'm drawn to challenges that require both mind and body, thinking on your feet and pushing past comfort zones. I’m most alive when I’m building something real, under pressure, with purpose, in environments that demand focus, problem-solving, endurance, adaptability, and full-immersion, especially when the stakes are high or failure has real consequences. Whether I’m prototyping tech, developing tools that help people or leading a team through complex problems, I stay locked in on purpose and execution. I don’t just love technology, I love what it enables in the real world, especially in places others can’t or won’t go.
Outside the classroom, I’ve always chased the edge. I grew up snowmobiling across frozen lakes and jumping in the open water, camping by myself with nothing but night vision, a knife, and a walkie talkie, and testing ideas in the woods before I knew what “engineering” was. I crave adrenaline, and value experiences that demand resilience, creativity, and impact. Hockey taught me how to lead in motion. Exploration taught me how to think on my feet. Whether I’m deep in code or knee-deep in snow, I’m always exploring what’s possible and figuring out how to build what comes next. That’s what I bring to my work: tech that’s built for something real.
